The flooring is going in soon, and the guys opened up all of the boxes so the wood can aclimate. Look at this beaut of a board! The picture barely does it justice. We really are thrilled, and can't wait to see it all in!
And this is the lanai and "hall" tile, all grouted. It looks awesome!
So on Sunday, we left all the kids at home, and GB and I went to go complete the rock collecting job that he and Noam had started. I reread his post, and I don't think it expresses how HARD the work is! The rocks are so heavy.... and there are so many steps towards getting each 1! into the truck. The system they worked out is really awesome, but it's still a huge effort.
GB and I took up 3 loads- each large rock takes about 20 minutes to get into the truck (smaller ones we carried). It was a lot of work, but the pile looked "large" and we were mostly satisfied.
And we look halfway decent for holding the camera in front of us after several hours of work!
and then.......
the following day was monday. The pool guys wanted some larger rocks, so they went down to the river with their bobcat (machine) to get some.
holey moley!
just ONE of their rocks makes ours look so piddly! just goes to show how machinery and power tools can enhance your life
and so you can see that Luka is pretty darned mobile despite his thigh high cast....
