Chicken expansion again

Our dear chickens (plus Pippi) have been working very hard at removing every.single.green.item from their huge run. They pick and peck and scratch and their lovely grass and weeds are now just dirt... and more dirt.

GB came up with a great idea to make another run and move them back and forth. So he got started on Friday and went down the hill from their current run with his chainsaw.

He and Ra'am and I went out today to set the posts and then we'll pull fence next week.

Here GB is freeing a random and unnecessary post from the center of the current run. Pippi is curious
Ra'am is taking a much needed/ deserved water break
Poles all in a line
Align CenterGB always makes a weird face on work days
I used the post hole pounder for the 1st time. It's not too hard to use- It helps that our ground is soft.

Best family work day EVAH

Goats need a shelter in the new pasture. Family comes out in full force to help!

The 5 of us started out on a nice Sunday morning and brought the goats along to "help".

Ra'am dug and dug and we placed the footings in the ground. Then came the easy part- building up.

GB looks like he's explaining something important to us.
Noam learned to use the drill

Luka helped all day-- one of his more important roles was decorating. He embellished several 2x4s with a sharpie- and one made it on to the shed- and we clear coated it so we can enjoy his artwork
The shed is complete!
